I decided to have Kirsten proofread the essays before I sent them to the school. And thank goodness I did! I quickly realized that my essays were not all that great. She helped me retool them to make them stonger. It was more than just a proofread. She showed me I had the same ideas in different parts of the essay. We took out the redundancies and brought in new ideas. I gained so much from our sessions. Not only did she show me how to fix the essays, but she explained the reasons behind the changes. I actually learned more from Kirsten than most teachers I've had.
Kirsten is very knowledgable and cares about what she is doing. She left no stone unturned and stuck with me until the essays were perfect. I can't thank her enough for spectacular assistance with the essays and especially for teaching lessons I will never forget. A week after I turned my final product in to the school, I was talking to a lady in admissions, and she mentioned how great the essays were. I couldn't help but think of Kirsten at that moment because I know I couldn't have done it without her.

Inspired by her own posts and emails to me, and the expression, language, detail, warmth, and eloquence with which she writes, I started to build a love affair with the English language. Kirsten is one of the few people I've ever corresponded with who can express emotion through the written word, enabling the reader to feel what she feels as she writes. Her words travel from the page to the imagination as you see what she sees.
Over the year I've known her, my confidence has grown, I've had my first article published in a scientific journal, written editorials for business magazines, and I've just finished my first book which is currently with publishers for consideration. She even gave me the confidence to write a petrarchan sonnet which won a poetry competition.
